The 8th hike of the year up Mt. Monadnock. The weather was very hot and humid even with an early start. Made it to one point of interest that I had missed on this trail before and decided not to go for the second as it is off trail and we were running low on fluids to drink while hiking down.

  • A stone seat made at the Darling Seat location. It is actually pretty comfy

  • It was so hazy and humid you could hardly make out Keene in the distance less than 15 miles away
  • Some of the other hikers willing to brave the heat today

  • Pumpelly ridge partially in the shade from the clouds

  • Time to head back down the trail
  • A memorial rock near the summit. I don't think it is a mere coincedence that they are the same initials and dates to a similar rock I found earlier this year on South Kinsman Mountain in the white mountains
  • Near the summit the Dublin Trail is pretty easy and mostly on large rock surfaces
  • Where the Dublin and Marlboro trails join/separate
  • Once you get near the tree line it starts getting steeper on the way down
  • You are also in and out of the vegetation
