My second hike of the year. It was clear and mostly sunny. The temperature on the summit was 35 degrees. The wind was blowing almost constant at 18 mph making for a windchill of 23 degrees. Almost all the ice and snow was gone, we just need the leaves to come out now.

  • Looking northwest from the trail
  • Looking northwest over the area where the Marlboro and Dublin Trails come up and soon meet
  • Still some ice covering the puddles at the summit.  Although it is getting thinner
  • Pumpelly Ridge to the northeast
  • Plants stuck under the ice.  The foam/bubbles are formed in the ice
  • View to the east towards Pack Monadnock

  • Looking north towards the White Mountains
  • Layers of mountain looking towards Crotched Mtn

  • View west over the top of the White Arrow Trail
  • More plants starting to come out of the ice

  • There were just a few small patches of snow left on the summit
