• This section of trail is trimmed back nicely
• Where the Isolation Trail connects with the Davis Path
• Much of the distance to the summit spur now is pretty gentle
• A temporary sign showing the start of the Isolation Summit Spur. You can see nails from the old sign can be seen in the tree above it
• The short summit spur is steep
• The summit of Mt. Isolation has a small open area
• Miles sits on the cairn at the summit
• The view from the summit of Mt. Isolation. Completely clouded in today, but there normally is a nice view from here
• The summit of Mt. Isolation has a few small open areas
• Back on the Davis Path in a wet area with rotting bog bridges
• Starting the climb back up. It's not very often you do all the uphill after the summit
• Back up above treeline on the Davis Path
• Near the intersection with the Glen Boulder Trail
• The trail going around some scrub brush
• Back up on the Boott Spur Ridge, the fog is still thick. You can hardly see the next cairn marking the trail
• Next to the trail is a line of rocks that appear to have split down the middle many many years ago
• The gap in the split rocks from the other direction
• Even though I can't see the hut, I know I am close since I am back to the lakes around it
• After dropping a bit of gear in my bunk, I'm off for the quick hike up Mt. Monroe
• Stone steps built into the trail shortly after leaving the hut
