  • Just like from the summit of Mt. Isolation, there is no view from the summit of Mt. Monroe
  • Rocks at the summit of Mt. Monroe
  • The summit of Mt. Monroe with steady winds and no view
  • Miles at the summit of Mt. Monroe
  • The trail heading back north from the summit
  • Coming back down from the summit, the clouds act like they want to clear. Giving a short view over to the hut
  • But as soon as the clouds look like they might clear some, they increase again
  • The hut is in site. Almost time to get some dry clothes and relax before supper
  • A Google Earth representation of day 2 of the hike... out and back from the left to the right
  • On morning number three, the summit of Mt. Monroe is again in the clear
  • The view to the northwest as some low clouds off in the distance, but is otherwise clear
  • Smaller peaks to the west with some low clouds behind them
  • The summit of Mt. Washington is also in the clear this morning
  • A closer look at the first summit of the day
  • Heading up the Crawford Path to the summit of Mt. Washington. Some varying clouds over the ridge have me in the shade right now
  • Looking back down to Mt. Monroe and the hut in the sun
  • Some clouds to the southwest
  • View to the south while climbing Mt. Washington
  • Low clouds to the west
  • Looking up the Crawford Path to the summit. One of the summit towers can just be seen up ahead
