  • I arrived this morning to an empty trailhead, and didn't see anyone one all day until back at the trailhead almost ready to leave
  • A bridge over a stream on the York Pond Trail
  • Looking up Bunnell Notch Trail to Mt. Cabot, The Bulge, and The Horn
  • Sign pointing the way at a fork in the old logging roads that are the trail at this point
  • First brook crossing, not a hard one
  • Looking up the brook
  • Where the Bunnell Notch Trail leaves the old logging roads
  • Heading up into the woods
  • The early section of trail was pretty easy and a nice walk through the open hardwoods
  • A small cascade in a brook next to the trail
  • The water comes over an old log
  • Turning to head up the bank to get on top of the ravine
  • A turn in the Bunnell Notch Trail
  • A small waterfall in the brook and snow on the Southern side of the ravine where it stays in the shade
  • A log bridge over a brook that could use a little help. The unbroken piece seemed pretty weak
  • Getting to the top of Bunnell Notch it quickly changed to a mostly softwood forrest
  • With the trees still covered with needles, the snow here hasn't melted as much and the temps on the trail were noticably cooler
  • This large tree next to the trail has started to fall and is caught up in the other trees. The trail now goes up and over the roots out of the ground
  • Heading back up now on the Kilkenny Ridge Trail
  • A small view to the West through the trees along the trail
