1. New England 4000+ ft Mountains

Mt. Garfield 9.8.18

For the 17th anniversary Flags on the 48 event, our group hiked Mt. Garfield in order to fly our flag. We took the Garfield Trail up to the Garfield Ridge Trail and then to the summit. Aside from being a bit cool, we had great weather on all the summits with plenty of sun during the event. Our summit had the extra addition of some 48 Flags beer brewed and delivered to the summit by some of the Henniker Brewing Company staff themselves. We were able to see 13 other flags flying today from our summit. with some help of a spotting scope for the further away peaks. In total, the hike was 10.4 miles with 2,988 ft overall elevation gain and 3,169 ft of total gain.
