1. New England 4000+ ft Mountains

Mt. Lafayette 9.12.2015

On 9-12-2015, I hiked Mt. Lafayette (5,260 ft) as part of Flags on the 48, a memorial hike in honor of 9/11. I hiked with the same team that I have before. The hike was a total of 8.12 miles with 3,663 feet of elevation gain using the Old Bridle Path and the Greenleaf Trail. Skies were much clearer than the last few years with some higher level clouds developing during the afternoon. Temps were warm and the breeze was blowing enough to keep the flag moving around at least some most of the time. It was a busy day on the trails as lots of other hikers were out as well.

  • Looking back down to the hut from further up the trail
