  • A dead tree next to the trail with plenty of lichen growing on it
  • A large glacial erratic boulder next to the trail
  • The first of only a few cairns on the trail
  • Heading up steadily on the trail
  • The trail leveling out some coming up onto the first ridge
  • Looking out into the trees next to the trail
  • Heading back uphill again on a section that is a little rocky
  • A rocky section along the side of the mountain
  • There is a short side path that heads to a small lookout over some blow downs
  • Mt. Moosilauke to the West
  • Mt. Moosilauke to the West at the small viewpoint
  • Plenty of spruce cones on this tree
