Today I hiked Mt. Washington for the Mount Washington Observatory's 13th annual Seek the Peak fundraising event. A bad weather forecast changed the plans from hiking Saturday before the after party to hiking Sunday after the after party (now before party). I went up the Lion Head Trail and came down the Boott Spur Trail. The hike was a total of 8.62 miles and had 4,406 feet of elevation gain. Weather was good for Mt.   • Crystal Cascade a short distance up the Tuckerman Ravine Trail
  • A 20 foot tall flight of stone steps gets you this view of Crystal Cascade near the trail
  • The Tuckerman Ravine Trail is plenty wide for much of its distance
  • The trail can be rocky in places, and keeps a moderate grade
  • People ahead hiking up the trail
  • A nice wide bridge where the trail crosses the Cutler River

  • From a spot on the trail, you can see one of the waterfalls coming down Raymond Cataract
