  • A section of trail with stepping stones to avoid what looks like frequent mud
  • After a brief level spot, the trail heads up again
  • Continuing up and getting rockier
  • Finally up to the junction near the summit
  • Only 0.3 miles to go for the summit
  • From here to the summit, the trail is almost level and very easy
  • At the partially open summit area
  • There is an old fire tower at the summit. That means you must climb it
  • The summit fire tower
  • A wind farm can be seen to the east between Andover, ME and Roxbury, ME
  • Just into NH, a rain storm can be seen to the west
  • A closer look at the rain coming down to the west
  • To the north it also looks like rain. This storm doesn't look like it is coming down as hard as the one to the west. It is however headed in this direction
  • The Baldplate Mountains are nearby, just to the northeast
  • At the summit, someone has spelled out MAINE with rocks
  • View southeast over Slide Mtn
  • Still raining to the west near Success Pond
  • Looking south over the Mahoosuc Range
  • Sunday River Ski Area can be seen to the south
  • NH's Presidential Range can be seen in the distance
