  • The start of the hike. This is the suspension bridge over the river at Lincoln Woods
  • The hike starts off on an old logging railroad bed. Many of the old ties are still in place
  • Starting up the Osseo Trail. It's pretty easy going to start
  • Just before getting to some switchbacks in a steeper section of the trail
  • Now that it's getting steep, there are many wooden ladders and steps in place to help out hikers
  • Looking up one of the helpful stairs sections
  • Nearing the first peak of the day. This is just before the Flume Slide Trail junction
  • The view north from the first summit of the hike/day. These are the next three peaks I will go over today (Mt. Liberty, Mt. Lincoln, and Mt. Lafayette)
  • Mt. Liberty is the next peak up the ridge for me
  • Mt. Lincoln and Mt. Lafayette still appear quite a distance away. I'll be there later today though. One of tomorrow's peaks, Mt. Garfield, can be seen on the right
  • Looking east towards the Twins and Bonds from the Mt. Flume summit. Those peaks will be day three of this hike
  • Mt. Garfield at the northern end of the Pemigewasset Wilderness
  • A zoomed in shot of Mt. Lincoln and Mt. Lafayette
  • The view west from Mt. Flume. Mt. Moosilauke is on the left
  • The Kinsmans can be seen past Mt. Liberty
  • Looking south from the summit of Mt. Flume
  • Looking over the trees at the Pemigewasset Wilderness
  • The trail starting to head up Mt. Liberty after descending off of Mt. Flume
  • Getting rockier as I near the summit of Mt. Liberty
  • Looking up the ridge from the summit of Mt. Liberty
