North Tripyramid & Middle Tripyramid (14-15 of 48)

The 14th and 15th mountains would be combined into one trip with the first being North Tripyramid at 4,180 ft and then Middle Tripyramid at 4,140 ft.
This hike was approximately 8.3 miles in length and had an overall elevation gain of 3,116 ft.
They were hiked on 7-10-11 which was mostly sunny with temps on the mountain near 70 and there was an occasional light breeze.

  • It is pretty rocky near the top
  • Soon it gets much easier though
  • Gentle walking through an open green area
  • Starting back up North Tripyramid
  • A rocky scramble
  • Heading back down into the rocky and steep ravine going down North Tripyramid
  • One last limited peek through the trees
  • A small white flower along the trail
  • More of the flower in bloom
  • Big glacial erratic next to the trail
  • Yellow Birch tree thats root start above ground
  • A small patch of logging seen just through the trees from the trail
  • One of the butterflies finally stayed still long enough for a photo
  • A log path over a sometimes muddy section
  • The brook next to the trail
  • A yellow birch growing over and around a rock
