1. New England 4000+ ft Mountains

Mt. Wildcat "D" Peak & Mt. Wildcat (21-22 of 48)

The 21st and 22nd mountains would be combined into one trip with the first being Mt. Wildcat "D" Peak at 4,050 ft and then Mt. Wildcat at 4,422 ft.
This hike was approximately 7.2 miles in length and had an overall elevation gain of 2,943 ft.
They were hiked on 11-19-11 which turned out to be a sunny day after a cloudy start. Wind was expected to be pretty high, but it wasn't bad on these peaks. The high temp for the day on the peaks was around 32 degrees.

  • A nice view out of the trees from the trail
  • A rocky climb coming back up D Peak
  • A view back to Mt. Wildcat from the observation deck on D Peak
