Cash Register

This cash register was made in 1916 by The National Cash Register Company. It is constructed of brass because, at the time, iron and steel were being appropriated for the war effort. Marble, ivory, and ebony are incorporated into its extensive ornamental design. This register was first owned in 1917 by Lux Mercantile in Topeka, Kansas.
