Schell Bridge
The Schell Bridge spans the Connecticut River in Northfield, MA. The bridge is 515 feet long and was opened in 1903. In 1987, the town voted to close the deteriorating bridge. It has been scheduled for demolition in 2007 and 2008, but a group of people dedicated to saving the bridge have slowed that effort as they try to raise money to rebuild and reopen it.
