Snorkeling

Early in the week we went snorkeling at Champagne Beach in the Caribbean Sea where you get to swim through underwater volcanic bubbles. The waves were gentle here and there were plenty of interesting fish to see. Here we had an underwater disposable camera to try and take pictures of the fish.
Later in the week, we went to Grande Bay on the Atlantic Ocean coast and kayaked out to do some more snorkeling. The waves and current moved you around here more and there weren't quite as many fish. There were some different ones to see over here though

A school of small fish

ChampagneBeach01

  • A school of small fish
  • Plenty of interesting coral here
  • Various fish swimming around
  • A couple fish swimming past a very big brain coral
  • You can see the volcanic bubbles coming up through the rock here where a fish is looking for food
  • When I got to this overhang there were some pretty big fish under it
  • A small blue fish swimming next to a large rock
  • A few fish swimming around
  • Two little yellow stripped fish
  • Melissa under water
  • Me under water
  • The terrain varied greatly
  • Plenty of different coral to look at as well as the fish
  • Some small fish on the bottom
  • A few different kinds of fish
  • Two fish. The blue one looked much better in person than this picture shows
  • That blue fish looked almost metallic
  • A school of fish between some rocks
  • A few more fish
  • More fish swimming around
